Not sure if this has been posted before but if not:-- Some footage of the A Class production line at Rastatt in Germany. Funnily enough "Day of the Triffids" sprung to mind during the first few minutes.:p

Why does it say borked on my phone with no links?! I would like to see it!

Not compatible with your iPhone/iPad. Apple don't do Flash unlike the rest of the world.

I worked for a German manufacturer until about 1998 or so.
We had many ABB robot cells which I used to maintain, it was fascinating.
Linishing, assembly, paint-line, MIG and the first TIG welding IRB robot.
It appears the robot hardware portion of the assembly has reached a plateau, but what I see are significant advances in tooling.
After all there are only so many ways to weld and manipulate parts.

Funny my present employer just bought a vintage IRB6400 to swing a large real-time radiography source+P.E. panel about.
Quite a learning curve back at ABB again after fifteen years!

Great video, thanks very much for posting.
