This gets talked about every so often and it would be even better if some sort of a a script could be made to make the banner change upon refreshing the page like on a few other forums, so that whenever you visit a different page it changes. A few nice examples have been made in the past too.

Presumably pictures need to be members' own ones and we can't use (copyrighted) commercial images.

The banner pic also needs to be a specific shape (aspect ratio). Some of the ones posted above wouldn't work, purely for that reason.
