New C-Charge-free Mercs...

Deja Vue!

Mercedes-Benz is preparing a series of extra-economical cars in some of its popular model-ranges. They will be badged 'FE Line' to denote fuel efficiency.First up is the 46.3mpg C220 CDI, on sale in mainland Europe next month followed by the A160 CDI. Carbon dioxide emissions are reduced from the standard model's 128g/km to 119g/km. This output is enough to put the A160 CDI into Britain's tax band B, and thus qualify it for exemption from the London Congestion Charge as of October. However, Mercedes may not bring this model to the UK, as the small numbers of right-hand drive sales might not justify the necessary modifications.

Now where have I heard that before.

Status for MB and Porsche customers... 'I can afford it'..;)

Right, I'll start the ball rolling...

FE..For Environmentalists

My guess is, while everyone else is making fossil fuel cars more efficient and selling them to the trend settin fossils who buy them to somehow justify their idiotic belief that buying a slighlty less polluting car will help in someway, and not just so they can save £25 driving into london, that Mercedes will shove the fuel cell in a c-class and take the enviroment head on.

100% recycleable, 0 emmissons, and you can seat 4 people in the same traffic jam in comfort.

Now that will be the way forward.
