Finally arrived and it was definitely worth the wait.

First impressions are it’s a different class in quality and the exhaust note is absolutely ridiculous. How it drives will be tested after the initial 1000 miles run in.

That’s the colour I’ve put on my configurator specs. Really nice. What’s the ride like. Seen some reports of slight wafty or jittery feeling at higher motorway speeds but 2/3 of these comments were for the estate which I understand a little more.
Had a look at the 63s the other week and do look very nice and as you say really good interior quality. The exhaust note you say ridiculous, but just really ridiculously good and fun ? Ok when cruising and what’s it like on motorway at lower revs 70ish MPH ?

    Congrats.

    Good on ya Danny. :thumb:

Nice to see you've got your C63. Just don't go calling the CLA45 owners for not having a 'real' AMG.

I’ve just did the drive from Hartlepool to Hull ferry port and the car was brilliant even in the snowy conditions. Cabin noise is at a minimum if you want it to be and smooth drive. I can’t say much for the higher revs yet as it’s still running in but I sat at 28mpg on the drive down which is more than I expected. The exhaust note is very addictive, and sport+ just puts a smile on your face straight away.

Brilliant. Good to know. Sounds ideal really and 28MPG is really good. Will be interested at noise and MPG at 80MPH or so. My current car sounds fine at such speeds but the MPG does asuffer a bit. These 63s have the neutral cruise and low power output when cruising so might make a difference. Not that you worry too much buying a V8 but doesn’t hurt having ok mileage on a 1200 mile continent run.
I’ll probably be looking at the E63 to be honest so slightly different but regardless good to hear positive reports.

Had mine nearly six months now and it still brings a smile to my face when I get in it, done a few longer runs when cruising at 79.9998mph and was getting 30/31mpg which was most surprising. Noise levels seem fine to me, on very poor road surfaces you will notice tyre noise but that is unavoidable I think.

    A superb car to have:)

The C63 has sail mode, where the gearbox is disconnected from the engine when cruising in "Comfort" with Start/Stop activated, however there is no cylinder de-activation. The E63 has both sail mode and cylinder deactivation to give better efficiency when cruising. Cylinder deactivation was almost unnoticeable on my R172 SLK55 but gave quite good efficiency returns and I was disappointed not to see it on the C63.

After 14000 miles my C63 is averaging 25.9mpg on a good mix of motoring, though it's appalling around town giving mid to high teens, I have seen 32-33mpg on a long run at 75mph. At these kind of speeds the car is a very comfortable cruiser, with the sports exhaust "off", the only real noise is tyre roar though some C class drivers have complained about wind noise from the drivers door which is usually fixed by fitting acoustic glass.

Oh yes. the exhaust note is simply wonderful.
Tyre noise on the concrete section of the M25 is unbearable.
Congrats Danny you WILL enjoy it.
