Hi Folks.
My E reg 124 estate gave up the ghost at the MOT centre today - too much rust - just didn't seem worth putting out loads of money to weld, then rear wheel bearings and 101 other things, so I've just got home with this:
1993 MERCEDES-BENZ E CLASS 300 TE 5dr Estate
Which I'm very pleased with so far - 60 mile journey home, runs a treat. Only problem engine temp gauge and silent close mechanism for the boot are not working and there's a switch on the dash whose function is unclear! Other than that it's feeling brand new!
260k Miles, 7 seats and purring like a brand new car!
Come Saturday I'm going to clean and polish and treat the few minor rust spots I've found (none in wheel arches or other sinister places!)
