Hi

Pirelli are working hard on improving their classic tyre range by re introiducing some of the famous Cinturato tyres and they have reintroduced this one 205/70WR14 PIRELLI CINTURATO CN36 | Longstone Tyres which is very much a size that was used by the to Mercedes of the '70s and '80s

They look like this

Hmm , perhaps the larger W116 models might have used that size , but I recall my W116 280SE and my W114 280E both being shod with 185/70 HR14 , which seemed like a lot of tyre back then , and the lesser W115 models wore 175 SR14 .

I also remember putting a set of CN36 on my 280E and only getting around 10,000 miles out of them , such a soft compound were they . They were replaced with Uniroyal Rallye 280's , which lasted much better .

Hmm. I don't think any Mercedes fitted 185/70VR14 tyres but pirelli do make a CN36 185/70VR14 PIRELLI CINTURATO ™ CN36 | Longstone Tyres

I do think a lot of cars fitted 175HR14 for which these days we have a Michelin XAS 175HR14 Michelin XAS | Longstone Tyres

Some cars fitted 185HR14 for which we do a Michelin MXV-P 185HR14 Michelin MXV-P | Longstone Tyres and if you want a thin white band we offer a bargain tyre that i don't have a web link for.

However the top notch stuff fitted 205/70VR14 where there is either the Michelin XWX 205/70VR14 Michelin XWX | Longstone Tyres or the 205/70WR14 PIRELLI CINTURATO CN36 | Longstone Tyres

pretty much except the 450SEL which needs 215/70VR14 Michelin XWX | Longstone Tyres

Any way that is 14" tyres covered. we can do 13" too

Do you work for Pirelli or are you the guy who used to post on here about social groups over 50?

Erm; I suppose that post was a little on the spammy side. My apologies. Yes i am the chap that runs Longstone Tyres. I do try not to spam, but it just slips out.

I come on forums with the intention of just being informative about what tyres are out there and then stuff like that just slips out. It is not easy to contain your self when you are actually a running a business.

Any way just for a laugh here are a few car related silly films we have made, i hope you don't find them overly corporate.
