New driving licence

I've recently juggled two V5's thru the system.
Each was processed within 10 days.
My trusted garage advised me ...
"Always keep a copy of everything you do with DVLA - They lose things regularly".
Good advice !!

One of my sons applied for a provisional licence at the beginning of November. He received his supporting documents last Friday, but still no licence yet.

Part of the problem there is that quite a lot of human involvement, which Covid has disrupted, is needed to issue a brand new licence; if the process, like changing ownership online, is fully automated, it is generally much faster.

Requested a new change of address for my Driving licence & V5, both arrived 2 days later, great service apart from their website closing out of office hours.
