New E Class Pricing and deals

Has anyone been offered any deals on buying the new E Class.

No so much a discount on the price, but what finance terms are being offered and in particular the balloon payment.

I have heard the residuals on the new E Class will be very good after 3 years.

I had a look today.

I managed to get 5% discount on a potential deal.

MB are advertising the E200CDI SE for £355 a month and E250CDI Sport for £429. The later is with £877 dealer deposit contribution, £18125 guaranteed future value and 9.6% APR.

I saw a new white E320 CDI (i think) coupe on the road in Uxbridge. The car looks stunning, one of the best looking mercs out there at the moment.

I think that is true. Being a new model, and MB, should mean a residual at 3 years old of around 50% of the list price (excluding extras). Most MB models get that provided you stick to the popular engines. Small is beautiful from the depreciation point of view and diesel is best, of course.

Even the old model (211 series) E220cdi estate gets £15k to £17k in part ex at three years old (Glass's Guide in average and excellent condition), despite the recession, which is better than most makes can muster. That's about 40 to 45% of list with modest extras, but nearer 50% of the price MB have been selling them for on offers in recent months.

new e class discount

I managed to get about 5% discount on a new E350cdi. I ordered it in April and should get delivery end of next week! I had to try about four dealers before getting a discount.

That is pretty good, 5% off a 40K car is definately worth having!

As ever the discounts will be a bit mean while the novelty factor is high, but experience suggests if you can restrain yourself for a little longer the deals will be better. I manged to get 10% off my S Class before the car had been available for a year.
Yet to see the new E or coupe in the flesh, but the mean streak in me likes the idea of the 250CDI and ultra the low cd of the coupe. Fuel for thought!
