I popped into my local dealer this afternoon (Lookers Redhill) as I'd just been in the pet store next door.
More out of curiosity really to see when the new E Estate was going to appear in the showroom. Answer is March next year for the 4 cylinder models.
I guess the injector problem has held things up but they are currently taking orders for May/June delivery on 220/250 cdi estates and July/August for E350 cdi Estates.
I get the feeling they were partially covering the injector fiasco with extended delivery times under the guise of "huge demand". Plus I was getting the "premium luxury brand" speil off the guy along with "we no longer discount" etc.
There was an E250 saloon and two E350 coupes in the showroom. To be honest I walked past the coupe without giving it a glance at first as I thought it was a CL. It was Black with natural leather and looked quite nice, completely impractical for me, but still quite nice.
I liked the saloon and the black leather sports interior.
