After crashing my CLS63 last month and receiving a reasonable pay out from the insurance company (eventually!) I decided to bite the bullet and purchase a 2013 Biturbo.

It has a stage 1 with resonator delete and straight through pipes. OMG! It is even better than I hoped!

Some Noob questions;

1. Is it possible to change the rear camera to include 'guide lines'?
2. The Air Con has been re-gassed but the light is still blinking - any cheats to get the compressor working again?

Thanks in advance
Jim

Welcome to the forum Jim. Good choice with the E63 and I have the same map and exhaust work done.:thumb:

I have the guide lines on my rear camera, so go into the Comand settings and find the camera to change what you have.
Not sure on the a/c compressor problem. I'd look for an a/c specialist for assistance there.

Thanks guys.

Sadly there are no settings relating to the lines either in command or engineering that I could find.

I gave her a good claying today!

ISTR that Reverse Camera guidelines arrived with the facelift car and the later NTG4.7 COMAND system. I don’t know of a way to enable them on earlier cars.

Thanks for clearing that up. Saves me looking.

I thought the 2013 was a facelift model but I see from your photos they are pre facelift lights.
As you say, that does explain things and why you don't have the tracking lines.

Think 2013 was on the change. :)

Never heard a tyre brand called "Triangle" - first thing i'd do is lose those......
After much advise on here i've fitted Goodyear F1 Supersports to the rear of my 2012 E63 & they're well upto the job....
Nice looking car - never clayed anything in my life....;)

Was just about to say the same about Triangle tyres. These are budget tyres and shouldn't be on a performance car. To give you an example - Larger Triangle Sportex tyres are around 60-70 quid. I am not saying cheap means bad necessarily, but they are both :)

I use Michelin PS4S on my e63s and they are fantastic - you likely look at around a grand for a set - but you cannot put money on safety. My wife had the front tyres replaced on her 10 year old Golf and the shop but those on - they were like 25 quid each - I thought the car is going to kill me when I picked it up in rain.

Got to agree with having cheap ditchfinders on any car, let alone a performance car.
I have P Zeros on mine and know I can fit better.

Michelin Pilot 4S are the best you can buy, I will be fitting them to mine once the Continentals wear out

My e63s I had from new came with the P Zero and I hate them - threw them out almost immediately and replaced with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S ... It is about 1k for a set but well worth it.

I still get crabbing with them but that's life I guess ...
