New (for me) E320 CDI Sport Estate

This might have been answered elsewhere but would an occasional dose of additive help prevent injector failure?

Or am I better using the go-faster diesel evey 3 tanks or so?

Either. But Millers and a normal branded diesel what I do. The economics are so marginal but either is fine

Another question chaps...... How can I tell if my leather is Nappa or not?

Artico was standard on Sports and doesn't smell like leather and has no small pin-size holes.

'Normal' leather smells like leather and has small pin-size holes.

'Nappa' leather smells like leather. Don't know if it has small pin-size holes in it :o

Think you'll find that Artico does have small pin sized holes, mine definately does:rock:

See the other thread on this! Sounds like you might have leather.

I guess a VIN check will be the only way to confirm!

Just thought that I would update this thread and state how much I love this car, it is probably the best all round Mercedes that I have owned (of about 40 cars) It is fast enough, fairly frugal, comfortable, great looking, loads of space, has many toys, Handles safely and is very sure footed.
Easy for the wife to drive, very safe for the kids, and room for my 2 dogs. I am loving it more each time I drive it. In the 9 months that I have owned it nothing has gone wrong, no fault warnings in the dash....what more could you ask for in a 111,000 mile car?

I intend to keep this one for a long time....:thumb: Love the W211 320 CDI's

Thought that I would update my 4 year old thread. I still have this car and after 4 years it is the best everyday car that I have owned. Now up to 128k. Apart from normal servicing it has had a 2nd set of tyres, new discs and pads all round, one glow plug, one glow plug relay, one lambda o2 sensor, alloys refurbished this year, rear suspension dealer recall last year and that is about it.
It is pretty fast, handles well, fairly economical, safe, warm when needed....cold when required, looks great still. Nothing has broken or fallen off.... just what you expect from a Mercedes.

Overall very happy...:thumb:

Sounds good, I will never forget that beauty of an w140 S600 you had though...

Thanks, one car that I regret selling to be honest.....
