Depending on diameter and width the 129 and 230 SL wheels will fit a 202. The tyres probably won't be any use to you though!

You've not said which wheels they are (pic might help) but as a guide no more than 19" diameter and no more than 9" on the rear, 8.5" on the front. Not really that helpful but don't go any smaller than 16" if it's a sport or elegance model or 220/230k/240/280 or diesel and I think 6.5" is as narrow a wheel as you could get on a 202, front or rear. You can get a 15" on some early or small capacity model 202s.

The tyres on the 129 and 230 are "flagship" sized like the s and cl models but the wheels themselves are the same geometry as the saloons (c/e) and coupé/cabs (slk/clk) from the same generation.

If I was going to fit those wheels to my car I'd have them on 225/45/17 front and rear. That allows for ~1" of kerb protection and they'll not rub on the arches etc. Are the wheels on your car steel or alloy, on the 202 the only difference with regards to bolts is whether they're for steel or alloy wheels, I forget which length is which. I don't know how different the 129 wheels will be so I can't comment, will have to wait for someone more knowledgable to reply :)

They're nice wheels though, should suit the 202 and they remind me of the shape of the steering wheel on the late-90s facelift models (202, 208, 170 etc).

:thumb: my 202 has alloys but dont do the car any justice,,Also only being 15" look poor on such a nice car...So really then they should fit and i should change the tyres to prevent rubbing..well i think i will go for them then..they do look nice on the sl as well :bannana:

Are you sure about those sizes - resultant overall radius seems a little small for an sl500 and diameter will be 12mm less than your current 195/65/15s.

P.S. 8j is the width - the offset will marked as ETxx.

I 'am only quoting what the fella with the wheels told me the tyre sizes were and thanks I know what the 8j means ..:thumb:
Just gave him a call and he got them wrong they are 235/45/17 and 245/45/17 on the rears..So will they still fit mine??

They're still not a match for yours, 235/45/17 is close but 245/45/17 is wrong. 245/40/17 would be correct for your car and those wheels.
