New guy here & aspiring MB owner. I am looking at a 2005 C 180 Estate, 1800cc (non-Komp), manual box, petrol. 1 owner, non-smoker (now elderly), full service history (no gaps), 72k miles, full MOT. Car has always been garaged at home. Interior & exterior totally unmarked (including alloys), tow bar never installed. Engine compartment almost like new.

I would be most grateful for any observations/opinions, from a distance, as it were......

Don`t think there is such a thing as a 2005 1800 non compressor, Not in the UK anyway. May be wrong. It will have the M271 engine which potentially has cam chain/sprocket problems. Google these engines.
