Main aim was to improve air flow through the eng bay

Be careful with that one, it is often a case that cars have a high pressure area around the bottom of the screen (that is why the air intakes for the cabin are there) Lifting the back of the bonnet can therefore cause backflow into the engine bay and actually hinder airflow through the rad making the mod counter productive.
