New Illumintaed Gear knob in W203 Coupe

I fancied a nice illuminated gear knob & had already slpiced the 12 volt supply to my cigarette lighter when hard wiring my Bury CV9040 kit so the addition of an illuminated gear knob was a very easy & quick mod with great results.

Spliced 12 volt lighter supply ready for soldering

12 volt flat socket (from pc shop)

12 voltage check

Original MB gearknob 1/2 turn plastic fixing

Allen key fixing & wires on new gearknob

In place & ready to secure to gear lever & connect 12 volt supply

Finally tighten gearknob to gear lever using allen key & replace covers



Final result a clean & crisp white glow
