Hi!
Recently rejoined the Merc brigade and boy have I missed it.
As a much younger chap, my first purchased car was a Merc (see here). I ran that from 2010 until 2019 and while it was the right time to move her on I’m ashamed to say I took the convenience of saying goodbye via WBAC rather than a forum/private sale. Amazing condition and only did 29k miles (on the 24k that the first owner had done). By my estimation it was a £2.18/mile love affair all in.
Anyway, I was parallel running an Evoque from 2014 and I am about to wave goodbye to that car. I can’t say I’ll be a repeat Land Rover customer - they’re just not for me.
So, what have I ended up with? Something much closer to what I had before and perhaps more age appropriate than the S Class ever was for me (though I have a suspicion I’ll drive one again). A GLC43 and boy is it fun!
It’s good to be back!
