New Key Fob

Hi Guys,

Just brought a metal replacement key fob for my w209 CLK off ebay.
I contacted the stealer and they as usual took a deep breath and said they could reprogram it for my vehicle but it would be expensive I should have paid £215 +VAT from them. Have I made a mistake, can these be reprogramed?

I have just bought one total cost from dealer with vat was £197
I didn't think they could be reprogged the small key part was approx £40 as they are not interchangable

Not that i know of Tal. Thats why im selling the black key cases to members on here for £9.99
If we could re-program them i wouldnt have to take the PCB out and destroy it.
We could just re-program them and sell them on.

You cannot reprogram keys. If you dealer says they can then they are either lying or have a dodgy key programming station. Programming stations where only avalible to mbuk itself.
