New key

Hopefully im posting in the right place.

When we picked the car up we only had one key.... now we have all the registration documents il get into MB and get a new key sorted. Does anyone have any idea how long it takes to get a new key and get it all set up? Are we talking hours?

The key will come pre programmed from Germany.
Closer to a week from ordering IIRC.

Thank you, that sounds fair enough. Have to get any old one cancelled as who knows where that is now and get a new one so we have a pair.

Definitely i even treated myself to a new battery for the current key just in case, as it was showing as low.
Will pop into MB at the weekend and order.

I have to get an "Additional" key, apparently I can get this without the need for any programming.

As you say though if you don't know where the other key went then a new one will be better, but if as in my case, you know where the key went then its a bit less cost £150 I have been quoted.
