New Keys for a Mercedes W124

Hi all

I recently purchased a full lock set, door locks, ignition barrel and boot lock and I have one key but I wanted to get an extra 2 as spare any idea of where I can get them done? Standard keys

If they are the old style key any decent key cutters will cut them for you.

If the lock set were bought from the dealer and ordered against your chassis no then you can order the keys from the dealer in the normal way - these will be new keys , cut to number , and not copies of an old , worn key . Last time I bought one a couple of years ago it was about £21 as opposed to a tenner or so from a key cutting / shoe repair type of place .

If the locks were secondhand , copying is your only option since the newer keys tend not to have numbers stamped into them like the older ones do .

I bought the lock set from a breaker, so won't match against my chasis, dealer price is £25 + Vat now
