Just a quick note to say hello and thank you for enabling me to participate in this great forum.
I am a great Mercedes fan having discovered, some 25 years ago, the unique combination of (generally) solid build, comfortable and reliable travel with enough oomph to pick up its skirts and go when required.
Plus the astonishing value of a higher mileage car in which everything is luxurious, still works and is ideal on the UK's rough and crowded roads!
Our first Merc was a S124 300TE with 180k on the clock which we ran to 320k before part exchanging her for a S210 320 CDI, of which we have had several since including a current estate which is sporting +250K on the clock.
Our main drivers now are a Y2003 S211 270 CDI and a Y2004 W209 240 CLK convertible.
