C63 S Coupe
Hi everyone,

I bought my C63s Edition 1 Coupe a year ago, have been dipping in and out of the forum for a while and found it very informative. The car is fantastic and the noise is addictive. I like the fact it stands out a bit and the interior with the yellow stitching and diamond quilted seats make it quite a special place to be. I had been very happy in an M3 CP until I did the hour session in a C63 at Mercedes World and then the itch just wouldn't go away. It was the noise that really did it! I haven't had such positive comments about a car since a V8 Vantage I had 10 years ago. A year is usually my limit before I get bored but this one looks like bucking the trend!

Enjoy the pics!

Great looking car, I’m now on my third C63 and love the performance, noise, and reliability.

Wow, what a lovely motor, and your right, that interior is a bit special. :)👍
Oh and welcome. :)

Gorgeous car.......I would love one.

Welcome, your car looks lovely and am sure it sounds even better :)

Interior reminds me of an f-type lister

I'm not gereally a fan of silver cars but the 'GT40' stripe and the '507-ish' decals break that up and it looks really good! And those seats are fantastic - something different! :)

Great looking car,

Hello and welcome, lovely car

Chucksy, how are you getting on with the Edition 1?

I’ve just pulled the trigger on one and hope to collect next week. I’ve had a couple of 507s and recently bought a C43 coupe thinking it was an ideal compromise.

I was very wrong! Nothing replaces the character of a V8, apart from another V8!

However, I was impressed by the handling and drivability of the 205 vs the 204, so I’m seriously looking forward to getting into the Edition 1 !!

Sadly had to sell it, I needed something with 4 doors so ended up with a 30 Jahre M5. But the C63 was one of the most fun cars I have ever owned and as an ownership experience it was up there with my V8 Vantage from 10 years ago. I get all misty-eyed when I see the photo at the start of this thread! The stripes were marmite but I loved them, the yellow stitching inside made it a very special place to spend time, and the noise was absolutely epic, and probably what I miss the most. I have an Akrapovic on the M5 but the C63 is in a different league in terms of sound, I really miss that noise! If it doesn't come with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S tyres I would highly recommend investing in them as it transforms the usability of the car (I spent a couple of days in a wet and windy north Wales around the Evo Triangle and the handling was great even in the wet).
Enjoy your Edition 1, you won't be disappointed!
Probably sacrilege on MB forum, but I'll leave you with a couple of pics on the M5 -

Wow, dude...

Not only did you sell your Edition 1... but you bought a BMW ?!?

Have you considered therapy ??

I had a V8 Vantage some years ago too. I got fed up with it accruing mileage being taken back to the dealership for repairs and warranty work. Lovely to drive, annoying as hell to own !!

The Edition 1 will be my 6th AMG, I guess I like ‘em !

I love the F10 M5, nearly bought one myself before my 63 as they looked like mad value for money at the time. Curious as to why you didn't buy a C63 or E63 saloon, they have 4 doors too you know :)

I have a habit (that I am trying to kick) of changing cars fairly regularly and kid myself that rarer ones hold their value a bit better (hence the Edition 1 which did ok!). The C was a bit small for what I wanted and was looking for an E63s but I am quite fussy about spec and colour and couldn't find what I wanted in budget. The 30 Jahre popped up, I do like an M car (owned 2 x M3's) and its rare as hen's teeth with only 300 worldwide and currently 29 in UK. It has full leather, acres of alcantara, ceramic brakes, an Apkrapovic and 600 bph so thought I'd give it a go! I'm certain I'll back in AMG at some point as the noise is addictive, maybe GLC63s when they come off a bit more.;)

I've definitely considered one in the past.

Last of the DCT gearboxes IIRC.

Can't disagree with any of that to be fair! Swore i'd have another M3 too, preferably a CSL but judging by their steadily rising prices, its probably not going to happen!
