Hi Guys,

Another newbies joining your ranks all the way from Down-Under, Sydney-Australia

I am now a proud owner of a silver 2000 model CLK320 (W208) Cabriolet

Bought it second-hand and it only had 2 owners previously with only 77,000kms on the clock.

Great website by the way and lots of good information for new Merc owners like myself.

Here are some pics of my car:

Hi Guys,

I can't seem to be able to create an Album for myself to share more pics with you. Keep getting a message saying that I don't have enough privileges :( Is this tied to a post count?

Welcome! My mate live in Oz....maybe you know him??? I'll get me coat! :D

You won't be needing a coat in Australia cobber :):)

Hi and welcome from me to

Hi mate and welcome. I used to live in Sydney-Potts Point.

That was a very long time ago though. I wish I was still there.

Mike.

Hi and welcome.

I will probably head back to Sydney one day my wife is from Hornsby and my sister lives in the Chatswood/Willoughby area.
I hope to take some sort of merecedes home with me when I leave the UK.

Are there any good mercedes independent dealerships? Whats the price of servicing like there being a european marque?

Thanks Guys.

I live in the SutherlandShire area (close to the Royal National Park), so driving the convertible on weekends in good weather in lots of fun indeed.

The dealer servicing here requires a second mortgage, but there are plenty of independant Mercedes specialists in Sydney who can do the servicing for a reasonable price. The last service I have done (B service) with a few addiontal bits and pieces added to it (like air-con re-gas and transmission fluid and filter change) cost me $1000AUD, dealer price for part B service is $900AUD (PLUS parts), so it would have ended-up being double the cost if not more.
