Hi Guys,
My name is Stefan, and I'm new to the forum.
I've had Volvos since 1980, 340s, 360s, 740s, 940s, then 960s, but in 2006 I wanted a change, and as I'm not a BMW or Audi type driver, I thought I'd try a Mercedes, so I bought a 1994 W124 E320 Avantgarde estate with 7 seats while I still had a Volvo.
I loved the Merc, so smooth and powerful, but the suspension was so soft compared to the Volvo, that the grandchildren would not travel in the back, saying it made them feel sick.
In 2009 I traded the W124 in for a 2004 S211 e320 CDI, with 100K miles on the clock, (great car, better than the W124), and after 5 years and 150K miles, I have just changed to a 2009 S211 E280 CDI Avantgarde.
I would have preferred an E320 CDI, but I couldn't find one with the level of accessories that i wanted, so after looking for 9 months, I settled for a 280, with the intention of having it re-mapped to bring it up to the power output of an E320.
If anyone has any advice on this, please me know.
Cheers guys
Stefan
