Not too old - I have just retired, and bought a 54 plate C 270 CDI saloon. (picture 1) I have had it serviced by local Mercedes dealer, for probably the last time, (cost was enough to hide the bill from my wife), and obtained a small list of 'things to do' .
The car is in very good condition, with a genuine 42k , full M/S/H , and drives somewhat quieter now with some proper oil in it.....
Having attended to engine, tryes, (New Contact 3's all round), I have spent out on almost a full set of Dark Burl interior wood to replace the aluminium trim, but having trouble locating 1 piece, - that surounding gear shift and drinks recess, (picture 2).
I have been promising myself this car for years, and I have to say, I am thrilled with it. Having read some of the threads on this website, this is probably the 2nd best thing I have done after purchase of the car.
I hope I can contribute in the months to come as I seek to restore the Merc to rude health.
Forgive me if I have made mistakes in this intro, , I am still navigating my way around. If anyone knows of a source of the missing interior piece, I would be most grateful. Kind regards, arthur.
