New member (SLK320 6 speed Manual)

Hi all

Just joined, since recently purchasing an '00 320 SLK 6 Speed Manual. Love it to bits.

Just fitted 19" wheels and -40mm springs, tho some other wheels have taken my fancy so I reckon these will be up for grabs soon.

6spd manual. Thats rare, didn't even know any 320 V6 car was offered with one. I take it you were after one with a manual?

Yep, all the SLK320's were offered with a manual option IIRC. Its very short ratio too, spins up easy in first and second.

Yep, I wanted a black facelift, V6 manual, with cream and black leather, and by sheer luck I found one not a million miles away, low miles, and at the right price.:bannana:

Hello, nice looking SLK, like the wheels a lot ! Quick question, when you fitted the lowering springs did you have to change/adjust any camber or castor ? regards Damian.

Yes, just had to have the tracking setup. The wheels are TSW, 9.5x19 rear and 8x19 front ET32 all round. Ive just taken delivery of BBS LMs in 9.5x19 and 8.5 x 19" front ET35, which will look much better when I get them on this week.

They came with the car. They are twin smoked projector beam lights, with halo rings.

I modified a CLK grille to fit in the front aperture.

VERY nice, love these SLKs. An AMG kit would make it look absolutely stunning , you see the odd one come up on ebay every now and then!

nice car, preferred the other wheels. I like the black alot, but its a bugger to keep clean, i see lots of time lovingly washer her with soapy wax before a good hard buff..
