New member, w208 question!

Hey everyone. Long time lurker, thought i'd finally sign up!

Wanted a little help, advice really. I have a 2002 W208 clk, sailed through last MOT, no advisories, no rust so naturally I want to keep it in perfect shape!

As of yesterday, the two small electronic displays on the dash have stopped working. Anyone tried a DIY fix?

I think there are some video's on youtube.

It's a common problem, there used to be companies advertising repairs on e-bay as well.

My son's W208 had missing pixels in these displays. So I used the non-bonded ribbons from this supplier AK speedo. They worked perfectly and have been OK for a couple of years now. (PS It was a bit fiddly though, dismantling the instrument panel on the kitchen table, but the ribbons came with full and very clear instructions.)

If you need to replace the lcd, you may need to search a little further as I see they don't currently list W208 screens.
