Hi Guys,

Just joined the forum after the purchase of a new car.

I wanted to introduce myself to fellow enthusiasts.I am based in the North West of rainy England, and hoped to attend any meets you might have in the future.

Some of you may be familiar with the vehicle already as the previous owner is a active forum member and spoke very highly of this site.

The car is a 1990 Mercedes 190 2.5 16 in Astral Silver, love the car. Bought it on Saturday and had a smile on my face all the 150 miles home! I have some plans for it and wanted to get share some ideas with people who also have a similar interest. . I have ordered new plates, wipers and bulbs and plan to order a new standard grille & rear badge plus lots more.

The car needs some body work as there is some rust so i hoped to get some recommendations of a good body shop near me? say 10-20 miles.

Cheers

Hello and welcome toy the friendliest and most informative forum on the net. Cheers and enjoy, Tony.

Welcome Mr Booth, I believe you have posted in the wrong section though as this is for the news although there is a section for new members.

I am sure one of the moderators will move it to the correct thread.

Yes welcome. Will on the Forum is our 190 2.5 16 expert.

Hi and welcome.

You mention a bodyshop and that you're in the North West?

I know a couple of good ones in the North Manchester (Bury) area, so let me know if that's within the distance you were thinking of and I'll give you some details. :)

Thanks everyone!

I am going to change my rear speakers today, they have perished. Any recommendations on replacements? they are 13cm in the rear and 10cm in the front. I dont want to spend over £75

I have this head unit Multimedia DVD/CD Receiver - KD-AVX1 - Introduction

Yes Daveenty, i live very close to bury. That would be ideal, if you could send me the details. Have you used them before ?

I've PM'd you with a couple of suggestions, one of which I use on a regular basis for my usual mishaps, the other I've not used for a while but they are both excellent.

Let me know if you don't receive the PM and I'll up it somewhere else, though it feels like advertising if I start throwing addresses about on here. :)
