New Merc - Got lucky with spec

So I sold my E350, which was sad, but I needed to free up some cash, so I purchased a mega miles E320 cdi.

It seems that I got lucky. When I say mega miles, it's scarcely run in at 185k (2002 car).

I purchased it in a hurry yesterday. It was described by the seller as 'immaculate for year', which was slightly off, since the alloys, although nice at first glance, have had the corrosion painted over.

However it does look stunning, but where I really got lucky is with the service history, and the spec. Service history is excellent, with most of the usual problems sorted, and £2k spent this year, on a shock, plus, work on engine to remove carbon build up. It's also had the SBC pump sorted, and tranny/ torque converter re-build in 2012.

Spec wise, I'm really chuffed.

Sounds awesome - I think the extended floor is pretty rare.

Really miss memory seats that I had on a previous car, although I suppose only an issue if the car is shared.

Just added up the cost of all the options, excluding the 'Elegance Pack' they were £11,510. I guess the owner went for Elegance rather than Avantgarde, because he went over the AG spec with the options.

Just found another nice one, four zone climate control. That should keep the kids happy, along with the rear screens.

Oh, and is it usual to have DVD player in the Comand? I'm sure it didn't in my previous E350 (not that it's that useful I guess). Annoyingly I don't think it's linked the the headrest rear screens, which seem to run off a Veba DVD player in the glove box (I assume this is not Merc fitment).

Little envious, currently researching an E320 but gotta wait a couple of months to build the cash as my budget/risk/reward compass is looking for a 2006-09 facelift with fewer miles. Hoping I get lucky with a good spec when the time comes.
