So i finally got around to fitting the 19's from my 210 on my 209.

What do you think?

The 209 doesn't like 19's like the 210 did, it just sucked them up and still rode very well (considering)

It still drives ok, but i think they are a touch too big. I only do motorway driving and hardly ever do any slow town driving where the bumps are much more noticeable.

Should i keep them?!?!

No (is the short answer!) The car looks a little overwheeled. 18s would probably look better IMO. Nice car though.

I like them, they look a tad 'over wheeled' get an AMG and it will fix that!

Thumbs up!

I assume those wheels are from a 230? They look awesome on your 209 :D

My only suggestion is that it looks slightly too high now as the sidewalls have shrunk, maybe 1" lower all around?

Look too big imo. 18's would suffice.

They are very nice wheels..but there's something about the way they look. Not particularly overtyred. I know..I think with those wheels the car is missing a bodykit.

Compared to the ones you had, they look better.

Thanks for the comments...the car is actually FILTHY dirty! The colour hides it well though!

The 18's just don't seem to fill the arches enough, the 19's are the right size for the arches, but too big for the size of the car...what a dilemma!!

Anything is better than the tiny 16's that were on there.

If i can find some staggered 18's that i like i might still take the 19's off.

Checked the spring pads and they are down on #1 so i need to source some springs to drop it a little.

I have collected an AMG front bumper and the OS sill skirt, just need to find a rear bumper and NS skirt and then i'll get the AMG kit fitted to compliment some bigger wheels as well!

very nice colour! like the look of the wheels, but I imagein the ride ould be too firm for me.

I quite like the wheels.....but

Your car looks more like the elegance type spec (no body kit etc) so to be seems to lend itself to a more standard (smaller) wheel.

I'm all for big wheels so no problem there I just think if it had the AMG kit it would suit them much better.

If you like them keep them on, when its time for new tyres flog them on flea bay and have a change.

Totally agree with your comments about needing an AMG kit for the bigger wheels. It is an avantgarde, that's why it sits so low as standard, if you have a look at a 55 you'll find the ride height is the same as mine.

Problem is, it's already time for tyres. Might flog them anyway as a member with a 210 is interested in them and maybe i'll compromise with some 18's...

Yes they do. But the rolling circumference of your wheels has not changed??

Under 2% larger overall.

When my speedo was reading 70mph tomtom was reading 67mph on 16's.
Now on 19's speedo reads 70, tomtom reads 69.

I think the style of those wheels above makes them look smaller with the stars of the spokes being inset rather than yours that are flush...

1" makes all the difference though....I had 19" on one of my old cars...when 18" where standard.
