I had a problem with the E Class yesterday where it would not rev past 2k and with much reduced performance. I used my Torque app to read a P2510 Code (Boost pressure regulator), switching the car off and on cleared the problem although the code remained, Torque was unable to clear it.
This pm I called in to my Independent who use his Xentry system to confirm the code. Nothing else showed up and the code was cleared. Hopefully it was a one off but if it recurs then the suggestion was to strip and lubricate the mechanism and if that failed then to replace the actuator.
Looking on-line I found several places offering to rebuild your own unit or supply rebuilt units at around £165 plus VAT but also found this on eBay: For Mercedes C,E,M,R,S,CLK 320 CDI OM642 Turbo Electric Actuator 730314 G-88 | eBay.
Whilst it seems good value the seller has a high rating so this may prove useful for someone!
From reading these do not need coding but may need calibrating?
