Thanks for the bits of advice from previous posting
Went and test drove a 1998 CLK320 and as the advert said like it so much we bought it.
It has a bit more get and go than I thought it would have after being spoilt by Subaru Impreza.
Paid £13590 58k miles with a leather interior plus the usual features (might have a look at what all this Command business is about in the near future) they are also taxing it for 6 months and also included in the deal was a RAC 12 month guarantee though I hope I don’t have to call on it. So I feel a fair price from an independent specialist dealer in Wolverhampton.
Just have to wait until Saturday morning when we can go and pick it up, then it belongs to wife and I suppose she will let me have drive now and again and I get left with the diesel Passatt (good car just boring, oh and it’s a company car so not much chance of them letting me have something more exciting)
