New owner extending an existing extended warranty

I am looking at an AMG at a non MB dealer that has a current extended warranty on it that expires on February 28th, the cars 4th anniversary. The car has a full MB history and the last service only had one non green item which was for rear tyres that the current owner responded to by replacing all 4.

I can complete the deal next week and would like to know if I can extend the warranty before the 28th with out any fuss?

Phone the warranty people but in my experience it’s quick and easy when it’s already under warranty.
