New owner phone won't work

Hi

I have just bought a Jan 2006 c-class. The car has system has the option under "serv" for Bluetooth. It finds both my phones and I follow the connection process, it then says connected. But the connection drops and the phone says not supported.

I have an iPhone 6 and and Sony z3 , neither one works?

Can someone help please

I too had problems getting my iPhone to work. I tried a couple of times to get it to link, then suddenly it worked and has been reliable since. There are a couple of guides here you may find useful. Short of going to Mercedes and asking their help it's all I can suggest.

As a 2006 model, the bluetooth function you are seeing is for headset only. A handset will not pair.
If you have phone prewire (a connector in the top compartment of the armrest), you can either use a unit made by Viseeo or a Mercedes 'puck' (not cheap).
