After extensive deliberation we've just taken the plunge and bought a 2012 E350 Sport Estate in Tenorite Grey.
I have to admit to preferring the pre 2013 looks of the car and finding one with the same kit as the current AMG premium package clinched the decision for us.
Only slight issue is that the Panoramic roof doesn't work properly so it has had to go back to the dealership for a few days (under warranty) so we'll be driving around in an almost new C220d estate until fixed.
It's a long time since the 1970s when my Dad drove a 280SE and Mercedes have definitely changed since then!!
