£310+VAT and immaculate - genuinely looks like glass on the back of my softop now!!! BS Stamped and specifically made for the SL - if anyone else needs the back redone on their softop - give me a shout and I will forward you on the details!! Is a roof bodywork..... if not wrong section! oops

Glad it worked out and the price sounds more than reasonable.

Shame the screen of your softop isn't covered by the £50 Windscreen excess on your insurance!! (Well, I guess it's not, not a bad suggestion really!!)

I never thought of the insurance - to be honest im paranoid about keeping it insured so I avoid anything claimlike anyways!! Ferrari garage really looked after me this time they blew in a scratch on the bumper FOC aswell as the leather repair...

SHame it keeps poxy well raining - I cant take the roof down

can you forward my the details please my glass cracked on its own last night (all three screens) the plexi went hard bit sad on a 5 year old car Now I find out that there is a product to stop this happening called highview....

I am now starting to feel that this car is like a spanish mistress firey, tempramental, attention seeking, expensive... ( I think you will see the comparisons )

Question is where do I draw the line (and making myself stick to it )

its really good stuff and does exactly what it says....

Bit late once the sodding plastic has cracked though wish I knew that it stopped the screen going hard before

Sorry to hear of your woes. Can't imagine how all 3 screens can just "crack" all at once like that. What do you do to them?????
I have regularly used Meguiars cleaner and polish on my plastic. They all seem in vgc on my car which is 8.5 yrs old.
But Hindsight, it seems, is a wonderful thing.

The roof was never really used before me, so this is its first real outing I used it alot over the weekend, the plastic was always quite stiff and it has cracked in the corners of the glass where the roof folds... I might give MB UK a ring and see if there is any good will knocking around ...

yes matey full respray and beautiful - only had a bonnet chip or nine but was mint anyway - the body work does seem more vibrant though im chuffed as nuts!!
