New SAM replacement cost in London?

Hi everyone,

Was trying to open the R230 SL Roof. It opened, and the boot almost closed fully over it then stuck about 10% open. It was creaking when opening. There were kids sitting on the boot the night before. Recovery mechanic said it is in full shutdown mode and tested sensors in boot area but is sure it is not them. MB said try a new SAM unit and that should do it (first MB person said it could be but do not know).

To me it looks like the roof struggling may have blown everything out or it could be a fuse.

Would be thankful for any thoughts, and what the SAM should cost. Merc offering big discount but wanted to check. I am based in London.

The control modules are not cheap. I had three at once and think it was about £1500. Not sure exactly as there was other works done at the same time.

If your in london you can have maxwell greane (in fulham) take a look and put it on star machine to let you know whats going on (020 7736 0054) speak to young Max himself who's clued on with the sl's.
