New seats for 2006 w164

Hi there,

I’m rather hoping that some of you more learned and experienced colleagues may be able to help:

I have a 2006 ML w164 320 cdi. It has electric and heated front seats but NOT memory or electrically adjustable lumbar support. The seat covers are the half leather/suede combination.

I have the opportunity to buy a set of full leather seats from another (2011) w164. These seats are also electric and heated but have memory function as well as, I think, electrically adjustable lumbar support.

My question is this: would I be able to just “plug ‘n’ play” instal of these seats into my car or would it require additional wiring etc.? The reason it’s so tempting is that it would, obviously, be much cheaper to instal 2nd hand seats than have mine re-upholstered.

You need the memory switches that go on the door card and the harness id assume

In the w164, the memory switches are on the side of the seats themselves as I understand it (certainly looks that way from pictures of the seats I’m looking at buying).
