Brilliant, will set up series link. It is very interesting TV. And the fact that the yard boss walks around in sub-40degree cold in a light jumper/open jacket is mindboggling!

Ice Road Truckers 2 starts with a double bill at 20:00 on History and History HD on Thurs 9th October.

Looking at the clips some look familiar (suppose it would though) and some looks new. I think it is a new series.

The first program looks like a resume (where's that French e thingie)

This second series looks like we will see the same drivers and I guess the fame has overridden the sackings, fall-outs, arguments and disputes. I hope there are no sad tales of woe but the publicity does not bode well.

I was hoping nobody was going to tell me Ice Road Truckers 2 was the last series already aired.

I think I'll skip the 20:00 episode, pretty much highlights from what we have seen.

Looking forward to the new series though, really quite addictive.

Ive got into The Axemen now.
They say it's the worlds most dangerous job with over 1000 deaths a year:crazy:

There was a program on channel 4 called dangerous Jobs for Girls and it featured British ladies attempting extremely physical work that has been done traditionally by men.

One episode was about tree felling in the wilds of British Columbia (a truly magnificent part of Canada which I loved) One scene of this program showed us a man describing how he lost a good friend. It was certainly NOT acting, nor show boating; the bloke was extremely emotional when telling the story and the poor girls wee in tears. The number of fatalities was startling and certainly not a job for the health and safety fanatics.

I have recorded the Axe Man series and am looking forward to watching it.

    Regards
    John

Shame the Axemen is only on once a week now, instead of twice:(
