Here are a few pics of my car lowered, HR cup kit, tire pressure monitor installed, antenna shown, and CLK instrument cluster, all in a 203

Quality tyre pressure monitor. How on Earth did you get that instrument cluster into a W203 ???
Is it the 209 cluster? 203/209 same thing ultimately! :)

I fancy OEM TPM on the W202, it was available on the W210 facelift E55 so some cluster mods will be required at the very least... :)

Hrm, would it be possible to retrofit the TPM to a plain old facelift W210?

Looks great as ever sunman :-)

Almost definitely, assuming that the E55 AMG instrument cluster is just a standard W210 facelift cluster with "AMG" written on it (likely).

You'd need to buy a couple of control boxes and some sensors. I estimated the total cost of parts to be around the £500 mark. This may seem steep but it's quite a cool mod ;)

It would cost more than that. Wheels need to OEM and they need expensive pressure transponders on each. Then comes the replacement wood to house the new switch.

Unlike the W209 version the W210 version was disabled mechanically.

Yeah I forgot about the transponders, they're about £80-90 each IIRC (attached to belts?)

You mean there is a button on the dash for it? :)

The "belts" are the antenna strips that go into each wheel arch.

The belt mounted system is not used by mercedes. There are some aftermarket systems that use those belts. Mercedes sensors are attached to teh valve stems. Oem wheels have to be used in most cases. 202's can be retrofitted with TPM but you will need a cluster swap first with a 210 late model one. 210's can also be fitted with these. It was a special order item on 210's and never came standard.

I have a facelift 208 cluster to install in my 202, do you think the software from the 210 is compatible? The 210 cluster is otherwise unsuitable due to petrol gauge function (reversed!). If it isn't possible then I am still willing to look into a 210 cluster... ;)

Is the W210 the only car with this option ?

I believe the 208 never got this feature. Only 210.

Oh ..... that's almost funny coming from the man with E, S, 2006 and CLK options in his C.

It's an option in the cluster .... I bet you could do it

Here is some cheerleading :bannana::bannana::bannana::bannana::bannana:

That's what I'm thinking. MB tend to share a lot of parts. Maybe I could just use the display or another module from the W210 instrument cluster.

haha, you may be able to activate that feature on the 208 cluster and if you can, the 210 TPMS parts would work for you then. You would have to integrate the activation switch somewhere.

nah, I am using 18" amg wheels staggered, lots of potholes in my area as well. I don't want a dented rim. Max is 50psi on each tire.

I have lots of switches to install yet, the switch is the least of my problems! The faux-carbon plastic interior trim is cheap to buy pre-cut from the stealership anyway...

I suppose I need to find someone with star diagnosis, I have the 208 cluster in a box at home :)
