New to MB, 2011 c220 CDI sport auto.

Hello all,
Quick intro, bought my 1st Mercedes as above 33000 miler.
Getting used to it, good so far.

A quick question, the 3 seats in the rear symbol appears briefly when moving off then goes out. Is this normal?

This is normal and useful to check if rear passengers, especially children, have their seat belts on.

The image will go away after around 30 seconds of driving, or you could make it go away sooner by clicking the 'OK' button on the steering wheel.

Keep in mind though that the car only knows if the rear seatbelts are connected or not - but it does not know if there are passengers actually sitting on the rear seat.

So it will tell you which - if any - of the rear belts are buckled-up - but it won't tell you if there are occupants sitting there.
