I have recently become the proud new owner of a C32 AMG and what a car it is. i have to say that after ownership of Alfa's and BMW's this is by far the nicest car I have ever had.
I purchased it from a true car fanatic, he bought it in october last year and unfortunately had nothing but greif. A/C problems costing £1k to repair through MB, Rebuild of the auto box due to glycol contamination by an auto box specialist, replacement supercharger radiator to ensure no repeat of the glycol problem.
it cost him £6.5k to buy and a further £4k to carry out the work to make it right (I have the receipts). it has 86k on the clock a drives like new. a few bad points are the wheel arces are starting to rust as well a two pence piece size patch of the bottom corner of both driver and front passenger doors. The drivers side rear suspension spring it making a twang at times, looking through the service documents it seems that one spring on the passenger rear was replaced, why they did'nt do both rears at the same time who knows.
anyway the MOT is due next week so i have to get this done ASAP, my thinking is to replace all four springs and replacing with H&R's due to some of the information i have gained from reading the forum.
would anyone have any idea what sort of cost i am looking at for this work and also any recommendations for someone in the west london area that could carry out this work.
