New to Merc: Service B indicator C220

Hi there

I have recently bought C200 and this is my first Merc, the since I have bought this car I have driven about 80 miles and the day I bought it it says Service B due in 10800 miles but even after driver for 80 miles it still says service due in 10800 miles, does it not meant to go down?

Is there anything I need to check?

They vary in how they work, but on my C Class it drops 100 miles at a time.

How fast it drops depends on how you use the car and how the oil quality has been set in ASSYST - if you do long steady motorway journeys they it might only drop 100 miles for every 130 miles you drive. Around town, lots of cold starts etc, it might drop faster.
