Hello and thanks for my approval to join your thriving community of MB enthusiasts. I've always been a SAAB man and I have to say I was devastated when the company folded a few years back but it was then an orotundity to look for another special something...
I've always loved Mercedes and when I bought my last Saab new I looked at the C class but it was just too expensive to kit out to the same level as my Saab Aero TTID so I went with that but now she's up for sale 9 reliable years later because I have a lovely new C250d AMG Line on the drive and I LOVE it!! I'm like a Cheshire Cat grinning when I drive it because it's so lovely. The build quality, the kit, the look (I'm gushing sorry lol). Anyhow, I never thought I'd own a Mercedes so I'm chuffed to bits and I can't wait to get stuck in to the forums!

Welcome, also had Saab's, 900 model then 9/5 3.0 turbo estate, well built like my E class , like you am very happy with my first Mercedes which I bought without ever having driven one until I went to collect it. Did buy it though from a family friend for £10 k. 4 years old with 26 k on the clock, a steal as they were £14 k in dealers at the tine. Best car I have ever bought

Thanks @smart320, coincidently I did exactly the same much to the surprise of my wife. Went on the fact I loved the look of the interior and exterior and that at the time I couldn't drive as I was (and still am) recovering from a broken leg so couldn't drive  Knew though that I would love it and having watched every review and read the manual cover to cover before it arrived, I was well prepared! I have found my new favourite marque for sure. :thumb:

Welcome. Nice choice in car. Get some pics on here.

I'll take some photo's and post them! It needs a clean already from the delivery drive but it still looks fairly pristine from the showroom.

Good choice scottief, lovely car :thumb:

But I agree with abcan

:ttiuwp

PS. Take a look at the Benz on the green thread and get your name down ;)

welcome to the forum.

Hi could be a rubber seal

Best to start your own thread under the general discussion or body work sections? Rear door hatch would seem a good place to start. Water does tend to migrate quite bit from its origin so can be tricky to find. Basically anywhere there's an " orifice" for water to get in. Another candidate might be one of the rear light clusters. You probably need to remove some carpets /trim linings to get a clearer picture.
