Help please.
I'm uncertain I fitted belt correctly. Looks ok, and nice and tight from tensioner. But every drawing or diagram etc I look at to confirm is correct, looks different.

If I new correct direction of crank or comp or steering pump etc. rotated I could work it out. Afraid of causing damage when I turn it over.

Any actual pics 1.8 271 engine.

many thanks

If it looks right and especially if the tension is correct i would say you have it spot on.
The chances of getting the belt on wrong and the tension right are slim to say the least.
Start it up and check everything.

To check, all pulleys are grooved except one, just make sure that everywhere the grooved side of the belt touches a pulley,is also grooved. Only ungrooved pulley is the tensioner.

Cheers guys, mine is not quite the same as that. but I spouse if crank is clockwise, water pump is anti- but the rest i.e.alternator is clockwise etc. and so on.
