Thinking of purchasing some new wheels for my w208 clk. I'm sure they have the standard oems on at present.

Any advice on what looks good and where to purchase. Someone said genuine amg's from america was just as expensive as reps bought in the UK.

Looking forward to your thoughts and advice.

Just the dilema that I was in, and to some extent, still am. I have a straight choice between OEM and replica but I feel that I will be ordering a pair of proper MB Alshains come next week.

Have a wander into your local parts dept and see if you can get a copy of the current alloy wheel brochure and, if I'm not mistaken, the brochure for out of production (car) models also. I cant photoshop so I cut out various designs and overlaid them on an SLK brochure :o , a bit Blue Peter & sticky back plastic I know but it worked for me :D .

Some will dissagree with me here but, after a lot of self deliberation, I feel that only either MB or AMG wheels look right on an MB car, purely personal you understand. A bit like "Mmmm, silvers a nice colour, lets design a car around it" or, "these wheels are nice, lets build a car to put them on".

Good luck.

I bought some W209 CLK wheels for my W208 (see Gallery) which worked out at £375 including new tyres! But that was from a contact I have. I'll dig out his name when I get home and forward it to you.

Alternatively, tye Murray systems, they have a very wide selection and advertise on eBay.
