New wheels fitted on W202, problems?

Hi Guys,

Got these fitted last week, I think they suit the car really well. The ride has got worse, but it's easy to live with, not that harsh. Alloys are 18' with 225/40/18 tyres.

Will these have any effect on braking, suspension, steering components? Will these be damaging anything?

Looks nice even if a tad high. What size spring pads are installed? Only draw back I can see is an increase in unsprung weight and harsher ride due to lower profile tyres. Have you weighed the old and new wheels to check the weight difference? You may have to check wheel bearings more often as these could wear out more rapidly and other suspension parts.
