C250 cdi sport
Evening guys/gals

In the process of buying a 2012 c250 cdi sport estate, the passenger seat is full electric and the driver seat is electric bar the fwd/aft movement...is this the norm? It has a manual lever for fwd/aft and a L shaped button for other functions.

Ive searched internetz with no joy, just the odd mention of partial electric seats.

The manual lever is handy incase motor packs in.

Thanks in advance

I'm surprised that it's the passenger's seat that's fully electric, but not the driver's. - I would have thought it was the other way around; are they supposed to be memory seats too?

Not sure about memory, from researching it the memory buttons are on the door, which this model doesn't have as the seat controls are on the seat base.....the fwd/aft button doesn't move, its nearly like a blank button...all other functions are electric.

There could be a manual lever at the passenger side also but it was the wife telling me it didn't have a lever so theres a good chance it will be there.

What does partial electric mean? Manual and electric functions?

Seams strange, but it would save money as an option as it would be a separate motor.

Also don't no if it has heated seats, can't remember seeing a button for it.

Car is currently getting some work done, dpf sensor, becker fitted and wheel refurb so i would like the seat fixed if it needs to be before i pay for it.

First MB i will be owning, and first car with as much tech/gadgets.

Ive been driving a A4 quattro derv for the past 5 years and i had type r's before that.

Have you sat in the passenger seat or just taking your wife's word for the all electric function.Partial electric seats are what you have on the drivers side, "L" shaped switch for the backrest and base and a manual lever for fore and aft. I'd have a quick check on the passenger side just to confirm what your wife says.

The part-electric seats were standard, and the full-electric seats were an option, but one of each doesn't sound right.

Could the driver seat have been replaced at some point?

If you run the VIN in a VIN decoder (Google "MB VIN Decoder") you'll know exactly what the car had factory-fitted.

Well I hope it works out ok for Dutch,he seems to have bought a car which he did not know very much about that particular model, adverts on ebay for say the S320 2006-2009 sometimes try and cover up things that are not on the car,for instance memory on the front seats, the photo will show the seat and the steering wheel covering the door card that shows the run of memory buttons, the same for heated seats, the light switch to the right of the steering wheel not shown as that will tell you if if has headlamp wash and night vision, you just have to take some time and find out about the car you want.

Thanks for reply mate, thats what i thought about the seats, it cant have one of each or if it does the drivers is obviously faulty....i will be checking again before money changes hands.
