Hi guys, another new member to the forum.
I come here seeking local knowledge and willing to share where I can.
In the distant past (about 20 years ago) I built engines for a living, so I know my way around crankshaft and cam grinders, Serdis, etc. The shop I worked for built a lot of Hi Performance Detroit engines, but not much in the way of multi valve stuff at that time.
I've owned maybe 50 cars and more than 30 motorcycles over the years, mostly Australian cars (I'm a kiwi) and Japanese and British bikes (70's-80's).
About a year ago I found myself in the position where I could buy a new toy, so I bought a 95 Mercedes AMG C36. I had been thinking of a 928, but I'm glad I didn't, the C36 was a truly astonishing package, even if she was a bit scruffy.
Here she is: My 95 Mercedes AMG C36 - a set on Flickr
As I've recently moved back the UK, I had to sell her before we relocated, but now we're back and have bought a house (with a good garage), I'm on the lookout for another C36, or maybe a C32. More to come. 29 Posts to go.
