My first Mercedes car, picked it up about 3 weeks ago. 2004 CLK500. Before this had lots of US cars with V8's. But fancied something more modern to use as an everyday car but still with a v8. Done approx 1000 miles so for and all good. It needs a bit of a tidy up and will be getting lowered and a more throaty exhaust, its far too quiet!

That's a good point, I need to find one. Your user name reminds me another reason for a modern car, as im getting older I fancy the idea of detialing and cleaning a car rather than welding bits back on LOL.

Tbh I've always fancied some good old American muscle. A mate has an f150 pickup which I love. I used it for a week last summer and loved it apart from visiting the fuel station all the time.

I have a 71 Dodge Dart and a 58 GMC pickup so first name terms with local petrol station staff LOL. I'm failing to be able to load a picture! I ditched my Photobucket account a few years ago when they tried to charge for it? Can I upload direct to this forum?

I've managed to change the avatar to the car, but I need to get a better photo. TBH I have more videos of it and bits I've done since buying it than photos. Ever since photobucket tried to charge I switched over to youtube and prefer posting videos of work I've done on my cars

Nice. I like the CLKs - the pillarless design and comfort appeal lots.
