Hi all,
I introduced myself a couple of weeks ago. I'm just about to start the main restoration of my 350 SL. My question is: are there any specialist parts suppliers for older Mercs? I restored am MGA & found many who specialise in supplying to that market only. There are some items I need to sort out the engine. I managed to start it very easily after 11 years standing but the idler screw (large nylon thingy) was seized & so I couldn't adjust the airflow etc. so the engine is running very rich & keeps cutting out when hot. I think the air heater regulator also needs attention. Do I have to use only main dealers?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks,
Ray.
